Celina High School
Class Of 1960

2021 Class Reunion is tentatively scheduled for September 11, 2021.

Dear Classmates,

The Planning Committee for the Class of 1960 reunion, met March 10th to begin the planning for the 2020 Class Reunion.  Plans were made for the location of the reunion and preliminary plans for the meal, pricing, etc. Then on March 16th our plans were shot down by the ongoing COVID-19 disaster.

With all of our ages, putting us in the at risk category, plus other physical and health factors, and arranging travel, hotel reservation, etc., it became obvious that we had too many unknowns to deal with, in order to plan and hold the reunion. It appears that even this fall, it is uncertain whether large group meetings will be allowed and a possible return of the COVID-19 might be likely.

In discussing whether to proceed, it was determined that it would be best to delay the reunion until 2021, due to the uncertainties of what would be allowed by the time of our proposed reunion in September of 2020.

We certainly regret the need to postpone the reunion, as our “Advancing Maturity” makes postponing not a pleasant option. We hope and pray that we can all come thru this with our health and prosperity. We are sure that this is something we never dreamed would happen in our lifetime. However, it has and we must deal with it.

For the most part our generation has been pretty fortunate. We just wish we could have hugged our children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren and other friends and relatives a few more times than we did. Hopefully this will soon pass and we can get back to some normality. Hang in there guys and gals.

See you in 2021.
